WILLS AND ESTATES

We will help you prepare and draft your Will. We will also review your current will to ensure it continues to reflect your wishes. Keeping your Will up to date eases the burden left on loved ones upon your passing.

PROBATE/GRANT OF ADMINISTRATION

We prepare and submit applications to the Surrogate Court for Probate, in the case of a testator who died with a Will,  or Letters of Administration, in cases where the deceased had no Will. We guide and assist the Personal Representative through the demanding and daunting process of estate administration.

CORPORATE LAW

We offer assistance with your corporate legal needs from incorporating your new business, serving as your registered office, preparing shareholder agreements, and acting for you in the purchase or sale of a business. We do both asset and share transactions.

COMMERCIAL LEASES

We can draft a commercial lease for landlord clients and will review a commercial lease for the commercial tenant.

RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE

We provide legal assistance in the purchase or sale of your home to ensure that your real estate transaction goes as smoothly as possible.

FAMILY LAW

We will draft your prenuptial, cohabitation, or separation agreement. We will also help you with your uncontested divorce application.

About Samerah

Samerah received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science from the University of Calgary in 2006.  She graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 2011 and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2012. Samerah has practiced in the community of Inglewood since the beginning of her law career. Her practice includes: drafting of Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Personal Directives; Probate Applications; Adult Guardian and Trustee Applications, and Estate Litigation.  In addition, the firm offers legal services in the areas of corporate law and real estate law.Prior to becoming a lawyer Samerah owned and operated a successful small business in Calgary for 10 years and taught preschool before that.

Samerah is proud to be a native Calgarian and even more proud to be the mother of 5 adult children each of whom are thriving in their respective callings.

Outside of her profession Samerah enjoys running, hiking, yoga (sometimes), Zumba, book club, sharing meals with family and friends, and, travelling.
